NFTs, as digital goods, need a storage place. Qvrse has implemented a user-friendly solution where each user automatically creates a wallet linked to their account using a passkey.

WHAT IS A PASSKEY

A passkey is a user-generated password or numerical code that provides secure access to digital services, such as wallets or accounts. It ensures enhanced security and personalized access. When setting up an account on Qvrse, you will be prompted to create your own passkey. This key is essential for creating your wallet and securing your account.

If you don't enter the passkey when initially prompted, the popup will reappear at your next login. Additionally, the popup will also appear when you are acquiring an NFT through the Qvrse payment app, where you will need to use the passkey to complete the transaction. While we recommend setting up your passkey as soon as possible, you can choose to provide it later by navigating to your profile, selecting 'Settings,' and then 'Finance.

HOW THE PASSKEY WORKS

Passkeys function as unique and secure digital keys, allowing users to authenticate and gain access to their personal accounts or services. This ensures that only authorized users can unlock and interact with their secured data.

In your user profile, under the 'Finance' section, you will find the 'Secure Account' button. This is where you can link your Qvrse account to a passkey. Once you enter your passkey, the interface will update to display the wallet address that was automatically created in your name. It’s important to note that Qvrse does not create the wallet, nor does it manage the stored assets or your private key!

A green arrow will appear, indicating that you are successfully connected with your passkey.

EXPORT WALLET

If you wish to export your wallet, simply click the 'Export Wallet' button. The interface will vary depending on the device and operating system you are using.

Initially, you will see a notice highlighting the critical importance of keeping your account recovery seed phrase private and secure. This seed phrase is essential if you ever need to recover your wallet or import it to a different device.

When you select the 'Export Wallet' button and authenticate the request with your passkey, the seed phrase will be displayed.

Remember, the dialog and interface for the passkey may vary depending on your device.
